Meet the Candidates and Budget Hearing - Monday, May 13, 2024 - 7:30 PM

Bay Shore School District Budget Vote - Tuesday, May 21, 2024 - 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Voter Registration - Anyone eligible to vote may register for the Bay Shore School Board Election and Budget Vote on May 8, 2024 - 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Jerry G. Berka Administration Building located at 75 W. Perkal Street, Bay Shore, NY 11706.


Definition of Qualified Voter
A qualified voter must be:

1) a United States citizen at least 18 years of age

2) a resident of the school district for thirty (30) days immediately preceding the election and

3) not otherwise prohibited from voting under the provisions of Section 5-106 of the Election Law. 

Qualified voters may also register with the Suffolk County Board of Elections to vote in all municipal elections relating to their address. Registration forms are available from the Suffolk County Board of Elections - (631) 852-4500.  Those who register up until the day before the vote (May 20, 2024) will be permitted to vote on May 21, 2024. Subject to verification by the Suffolk County Board of Elections.


Early Mail and Absentee Ballots – Due May 21, 2024 Before 5 PM

Request for an Early Mail or Absentee Ballot

Applications for Absentee ballots are available during school business hours from the District Clerk. Ballots will be issued upon the satisfactory completion and submission of the application form.  The deadline for filing an Absentee Ballot Application, if the ballot is to be mailed to the resident, is Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The deadline for filing an Absentee Ballot Application, if the ballot is to be personally delivered to the resident, is Monday, May 20, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Absentee Ballot Applications will not be received prior to April 22, 2024. Request for Military Application

Military Ballot Applications may be obtained from the Office of the District Clerk and submitted to the District Clerk, by mail (75 W. Perkal Street, Bay Shore, NY 11706), email (Kcastelli@bayshore.k12.ny.us), or fax (631-968-4131) no later than Thursday, April 25, 2024. Military Ballots will be mailed out no later than Friday, April 26, 2024 and must be filed with the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
