I’m a School Counselor and this is Why I love ÉäÒùʪ

As a school counselor, I was amazed to learn about ÉäÒùʪ. This website/series is such a valuable resource for all ÉäÒùʪ at all levels of education to explore their options for higher education. There are so many ÉäÒùʪ who think college is not even an option for them due to their socioeconomic status or educational learning struggles, but through using ÉäÒùʪ resources one can see that there is a college that meets all needs and ÉäÒùʪ at all levels. 

Recently, I had the pleasure of seeing ÉäÒùʪ used inside the classroom, and I was impressed by how engaging it was and how the ÉäÒùʪ were eager to learn about various aspects of the college experience. After watching episodes of the series, they asked really insightful questions and quickly understood what to prioritize in the college search, bringing up talking points such as choosing the right location, discovering majors they didn’t know existed and even campus culture.

I believe that ÉäÒùʪ should be shared at all schools with all ÉäÒùʪ and parents because it has the ability to invigorate ÉäÒùʪ’ to push towards higher learning. The online classes are also just as important as the show itself, helping ÉäÒùʪ to identify and articulate a clear path that will work best for them. The ÉäÒùʪ took both their Core Class and Majors Class and walked away excited about going to college.  As an educator this is thrilling, and as a mom it is just as thrilling, knowing that when the time comes my son can have access to schools all over just at his fingertips. In life so very few things are free, but this is completely free and completely accessible to all. I can’t wait to see how schools will continue to use ÉäÒùʪ in helping to shape a brighter future for our ÉäÒùʪ.
